Well, we like to think we are offering something a bit unique. Whilst we too love a good sweeping shot of the wedding venue & some classy shots of the stunning flowers & we certainly ensure we get the vows and speeches in, we feel the most important element to marriage is the coming together of people. Filming key dates in the lead up to the big day itself, be that a hen or stag gathering or a family meal, means you capture more footage of the folk that make you, you and the key events that go toward making your big day, yours!
How many cameras do you use?
Our basic set up consists of two cameras; one cinematographer and one static camera. You can opt to have an additional cameraman on the wedding day though, who would be there to capture additional footage such as the kids making mischief under the top table or Aunty Ann having a wee cry in the corner. The second cameraman would be there to enhance what will already be comprehensive coverage of your big day.
How much does it cost?
We know this is an important question as budgets are budgets & the word wedding can shoot up costs before you’ve finished uttering it. Here at Get Hitched Flicks we want you to be as in control of your spend as possible ensuring you get the film you want for a budget that suits you. We therefore offer a bespoke service meaning you add in the elements of the film you would like & we build the quote together. Contact us on 07796 136 907 or email email@example.com to talk through what you are thinking & let’s go from there. We look forward to talking to you. (Also see the next Q&A below!)
Can we meet first to discuss our ideas?
Yes absolutely! We encourage meeting up first for a no obligation chat! We are keen to know your likes, dislikes, thoughts and ideas – it is your film after all! We’re based in Edinburgh but if it’s difficult to get to us we can always arrange to come to you, though we would have to ask for you to cover travel costs if you are outside the Central Belt of Scotland.
What quality is your final product & how will I receive it?
We shoot in full HD (1080p) and deliver a digital file version on a personalised USB stick & presentation box plus we supply a standard definition DVD as part of the package, more of which can be ordered if you choose.
How long is the final film?
We aim to deliver a final film of between 30 – 45 minutes, enough time to capture all the best moments and tell your unique story. You can also choose to have a 3 – 4 minute ‘trailer’ of the film too an example of which is on our Welcome page.
Where will you travel to?
We’re happy to go to wherever you are but travel costs will apply outside the Central Belt of Scotland.
How long before I receive my edited wedding film?
We advise a turnaround of 8 – 12 weeks from your big day. The difference in time is dependent on the film you choose as obviously more filmed days equals more time in the edit suite. The pre-production phase is all done in-house and can be where the real storytelling begins – as an Adobe Certified Expert (oh yes!) Kelman is able to use the likes of Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro and Photoshop to further enhance your film.
Do you use aerial drones?
Though we don’t have drones as part of our every day kit, if you are very keen on incorporating these shots into your film then we’d be happy to arrange for this to happen through a separate company whilst Get Hitched Flicks concentrate on the story taking place on the ground.
What about the soundtrack?
Again this is your film, your life, so it’s your music. We have a blanket MCPS copyright licence for all commercial music used on private films such as these so just send us your favourite tracks and we’ll work our magic with them.
If we haven’t managed to answer all of your questions here then please don’t hesitate to contact us directly on firstname.lastname@example.org or call us for a chat on 07796 136 907.
